Soil PH and Healthy Garden Crops
Learn the difference between acid and alkaline soil and why you need to know this in order to have a healthy productive garden. Once you know the condition of your soil, you will then need to know how to make the correct amendments to properly balance out the pH.
Regular soil testing will help you to keep on top of your soil's health, and will assist you in making the necessary changes to keep it healthy so your crops can access all the nutrients they need to flourish.
For more information, check out this helpful post on soil pH by Jessica Walliser. Jessica is a Horticulturalist and a regular contributing author at Hobby Farms. You can also download a free bookmark to keep in your garden planner that indicates the type of soil pH in which some crops grow best.
